The 65 mpg Ford the U.S. Can't Have

Ford's 2009 Fiesta ECOnetic goes on sale in November................  in Europe.  Why cant you buy it here in the U.S.?  Ford says they didnt think they could make ENOUGH money on it!!!!  Mind you they didnt say they would LOSE money on it, just that they wouldn't make enough. 
I think its time the PEOPLE of the U.S. started making the rules, instead of trusting their politicians to do it. I'm for anything of importance to go to a vote.  In an emergency like is now going on in the U.S. with its financial mess, sure the politicians can and must make the immediate decision, but at first chance (nearest election), the people get to vote whether or not to continue the policy. This would have ended the Iraq war at the beginning of Bush 2nd term for example.
Florida seem to use this tactic to their advantage at every election. Invariably they come up with some "initiative" that "irks" the bible thumping conservatives just enough to get them up and out to the polls on election day.
And its time someone stopped corporate CEO's from getting tens of millions, to hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation packages, to bring a company to bankruptcy!  Heck I can do that, and so can you.  Why do we need to pay so much for so little.
Even our presidents arent worth much. I recently read a conservative columnist  who said the last great president we had was Reagan. He went on to specifically say negative things about the 3 since Reagan, culminating with this on Bush: he disappointed our low expectations.  By the way he's totally for Palin in case you want to read it.

Bush a Democrat?

His bailout of the financial disaster facing this country might have been necessary but it is pure Democrat, totally anti Republican.  I oppose such bailouts. Always have.
 If in fact we faced imminent national financial meltdown, then it was necessary. I understand we are /were just days away from total financial ruin in this country.
This still might not work, but it is indeed somethiing a Democrat would do,  NOT a Republican. 

What is the Bush Administration hiding?

Vice President Dick Cheney must preserve a broad range of records from his time in office, a federal judge ordered Saturday, ruling in favor of a private watchdog group.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly found that the records are not excluded from preservation under Presidential Records Act, which gives the national archivist responsibility over the custody of and access to the records at the end of a president's final term.

The Bush administration had sought a narrow interpretation of the act to allow for fewer materials to be preserved by the National Archives.

my obvious question is why?  what are they hiding?

McCain Vs Obama on Your Money

Both  have offered their plans for your money but in case you're wondering, $111,645 is the magic number for comparing the tax policies. If you make less than that, Obama's proposals would put more money in your pocket than McCain's; if you make more, McCain's your man.
Not everyone votes with their wallets of course, but if you do, the above is for you.

 Me I'm sticking with McCain & hoping he's still the centrist maniac ive admired in the past  Im also hopin that Palin is ready, because if McCains health fails, she the "man."   Im taking a chance on her simply because i want McCain, and he wants her, and also because heck she couldnt be worse than Bush.

  here is a guy whose criminal actions resulted in an 11 year old girls death.  then may or not have participated in a jail riot, was placed in segregation, had to sleep on a wet moldy mattress for near 2 months and the result of all this????
