Chocolate Jesus

I think the uproar over the chocolate jesus must be because he was naked, totally naked, and, i understand, anatomically correct!  What else
could there  be an uproar over?  They already have chocolate crosses during easter. They have chocolate bunnies & Santas too during xmas. Sure I know there is a huge difference between jesus and santa, but my point is if its done in good taste (pardon the pun) where is the harm?  
I'll bet you right now if we mass produced little chocolate jesus' during easter, a whole lot more kids would know about him in the same way they now know and associate easter with the easter bunny now.
 Yes the nakedness was what ruined it i think. What was the "artist"(?) thinking?  Did he deliberately make the jesus nude to offend people? Although I havent seen the statue my self, i would, unfortunately have to say yes, he probably did want to offend. What a shame. It might have otherwise been an interesting idea.  story here.

Addendum: further research revealed there are also already chocolate jesus  so obviously it is about the nakedness, which in itself is a shame because god created us naked and that is the way we were meant to be.
