The U.S. accused him, Canada turned him over, the U.S. sent him to Damascus Syria to be interrogated. why? Me thinks you know, but for those in denial I'll spell it out - he was sent to Syria so he could be tortured FOR US, while we maintain our moral stance that the U.S. doesn't torture anyone.
