N.Y. Post Cartoon
Ok, so the n.y.post is my paper of choice. i view it as a conservative, mostly honest publication. I say mostly honest because hey, we all have our "agendas". BUT this was wrong. No matter how i try to look at it or "spin" it i coulnt escape the obvious.
A little background for those who didnt hear:
Police shot and killed an out-of-control chimp in Conn. the other day.
The next day, the post had a cartoon showing cops with guns drawn and the chimp lying dead on the street. the balloon caption on it was "they'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill"
To me, this was racist, no matter how how hard i try to see another side, any other side. If you can see it differently please let me know

I totally agree….don’t like what Obama is doing with this country (and not doing!), but that was totally uncalled for!....keep me posted...(should be some sort of apology or something!)
I agree with you..Very bad taste and un called for. That was a very sad story about the lady that got attacked.
will do. i guess there might be an apology since that ez to do insincerely. i think whoever approved it shouldd get fired, not the cartoonist mind you, but his supervisor.
anyway
i too dont like what obama is doing on some things. u and i no doubt disagree on what we like and dislike about him. im not too studied on economics, so i cant say with any authority, but my immediate thoughts are that we shouldnt bail out anyone, not the major corps. or the simple homeowner. . let the chips fall where they may. and when its all over there WILL be new people and businesses to take the spots of those who fell by the wayside. THAT IS the american way. the part im not smart enuf to understand is if my way would possibly put the u.s. in position to actually fail totally. If so, then obviously we would need to do the bailout.
I do like that obama is demanding limits on the extravagant pay and travel arrangements by these companies. .i meaan i certainly dont want MY money going toward such ridiculousness. Similarly, and i know you wont like this one, i stopped giving money to the church altogether because i dont want my money going to pay lawyers to fight against paying the victims of clergy abuse. if i could say where it went, fine, because they do have some gr8 causes. but i cant so i dont give them anything.
